Yes!  I can’t post every event in the upcoming events calendar because there really is something going on every night. Here are some of the performance spaces that have packed calendars or persistent shows that you might want to catch:

Dream House New York: a persistent light and sound installation

The Stone: a small not-for-profit space with shows every night @9pm (except Mondays)

Metropolitan Museum: every Friday night ETHEL quartet performs with guests 5-8pm (FREE)

The Kitchen: long-time home of experimental performance art in NYC

Le Poisson Rouge: cabaret-style performance space in Greenwich Village

Spectrum: new music heard weekly in this intimate SoHo space

Issue Project Room: Brooklyn’s home for experimental music; some events are free or very cheap

February is also the annual Composer’s Now Festival with events around town.  Check out their website and schedule for the latest events.

Every Wednesday the Brooklyn Raga Massive performs a session in collaboration with other world / contemporary musicians. Check out their schedule.
