I can’t find the excerpt from Saariaho’s L’amour de loin that we have in our textbooks, but here is an excerpt of the opera from the Met’s most recent production.  Only the second  opera by a woman performed in the Met’s history and it took 113 years to get there.

We could have assigned Hidgon’s “Blue Cathedral” to many other of the topics from this semester.  If you had to “re-file” it, where might you put it?
